  • Grab your smartphone or tablet with Google’s mobile operating system and press the Play Store icon to open it.
  • In the next step, you need to access the page of the app you want to disable the automatic update. You can switch on by typing its name in the search field at the top (where Google Play is written ) and then press on the first appropriate result or press on the 3 dashes on the top left or swipe from the left edge to the right edge and choose My apps and games from the menu that appears. Then, press the Install tab, scroll through the list of applications that appear and press on the name of the desired one.
  • Once you have reached the dedicated page of the software, you can deactivate the automatic update by first pressing the 3 dots on the top right and then removing the check in the automatic update item.

  • From the main Play Store scree , press the 3 dashes located at the top left or swipe from the left edge to the right to access the side menu.
  • Once you have done this, click on Settings and then click on Auto-update app in the General section.

  • The first step is to find the version of the app installed on your smartphone to be able to download the previous one. To do this, access the Settings from the home screen, from the drawer or by pressing the gear icon that you find by pulling down the notification curtain and locate the App or Applications item.
  • In the following screen, scroll down the list, look for the software you want to know about the installed release and tap it to access the complete information.

  • In the next step, scroll the Description screen and stop at All versions.
  • Here, take the number next to the app name (eg Facebook 202.0.0.45.99 ) as a reference.
  • Simply press the previously published version to the one installed on your device (eg Facebook 202.0.0.40.99 ). Be careful not to choose releases whose name is alpha or beta as they are not the final ones.
  • Once correctly identified, press the small arrow pointing downwards to proceed with the download.
  • From the screen that opens, find the Download section and press on the version number.
  • Then, wait for the end of the countdown, press the Download APK button and press OK to confirm the download.
  • At the end, tap on Open from the message that appears below and then on Install to proceed with the installation.
